N Line to turn even more petrolheads
Cars3 September 2019
Spearheaded by renowned industry experts Albert Biermann and Thomas Schemera, Hyundai's High Performance Vehicles and Motorsport Division has been showcasing a feat of cutting-edge engineering with the 'N' Brand. Launched in 2017, the i30 N continues to enhance its appeal to British petrolheads with its quintessential mix of sporty styling cues and enhanced performance technologies.
Now paying reverence to its parent brand, Hyundai introduce 'N Line' beginning with variants for i30 and i30 Fastback. N Line adds the key styling of 'N' but offers a selection of high quality, lower powered engines that are perfect for everyday driving.
The i30 N Line
“Our i30 N has been hugely successful, showcasing our capabilities in high-performance engineering,” said Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President Marketing & Product at Hyundai Motor Europe. “We have extended that feeling to a wider audience with the i30 N Line. We believe the comprehensive package of design and engineering enhancements will continue to attract more new customers to the Hyundai brand.”
The design upgrades include many elements introduced on the i30 N. Among them are dynamic N front and rear bumpers, stylish 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, a twin exhaust muffle, and a newly-created N Line badge on the front wings. An exclusive interior features an N-branded steering wheel and gear knob and black roofliner, while an eight-inch display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto is standard throughout the range.
The i30 Fastback N Line
Joining the N Line family is the i30 Fastback N Line. “The i30 Fastback N Line enables even more customers to experience the N feeling. The car combines the elegance of our five-door coupé with a selection of dynamic N Line features for customers who want to spice up their i30,” says Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President Marketing and Product at Hyundai Motor Europe HQ
The i30 Fastback N Line also features exterior and interior design elements carried over from the All-New i30 Fastback N. The exterior includes a front bumper exclusively accented with a silver character line and Hyundai’s signature Cascading Grille, while black bezels frame the headlights. To emphasise the car’s sporty appearance at the rear, the sporty rear bumper is carried over from the i30 Fastback N which includes a red reflector line, a triangular fog lamp and a special rear diffuser.
Inside, meanwhile, are N-branded sport seats and a sport steering wheel, and the N gearshift knob.
The engine line-up for the entire N Line range has now been expanded to include a 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine, which comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and the same design refinements as the higher-powered versions.
